We will begin the day with hotel pickups from the city center. Your guide will meet you at the designated time. Make sure to be ready as we start our adventure. We will head towards the boat station for the next stage of the journey.
We will board a boat heading to the Uros Islands, located 6 kilometers from Puno. The journey will take us across the scenic shores of Lake Titicaca. The Uros Islands are a marvel of ingenuity, entirely made of reeds from the lake. Once there, we will explore these floating islands and learn about their creation and the lives of the Uros people.
At 11:00 AM, we will arrive at the dock of Taquile Island. We will begin a 1:30 PM hour walk across the island. Along the way, we will encounter the island’s inhabitants, known for their weaving skills. We will see the colorful textiles and hear about their significance in the local culture.
We will enjoy a traditional lunch, featuring fresh trout from Lake Titicaca. The meal will be prepared by local families, offering a taste of Taquile’s authentic cuisine. While dining, we will learn more about the community’s history and lifestyle.
After lunch, we will start our walk back to the main dock of Taquile Island. We will continue to admire the breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca and the surrounding landscape. The return walk will also provide another chance to interact with the locals and enjoy their hospitality.
At 3:00 PM, we will depart from the main dock of Taquile. We will board the boat back towards Puno, taking in the beauty of the lake once again.
By 4:30 PM, we will arrive back at the dock in Puno. We will then transfer you to your hotel or bus terminal. Our tour will conclude as we drop you off at your accommodation.
