The journey starts in the city of Cusco and then moves to the Sacred Valley, a key region in the Inca Empire. After exploring Moray, we will visit the Salineras de Maras. Local families still operate these salt ponds, which have been in use since Inca times.
For lunch, we are going to stop in Urubamba, a charming town where you will enjoy a delicious buffet with local dishes. It will be a great chance to taste the flavors of the region. After lunch, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, a stunning Inca fortress with amazing views of the Sacred Valley.
Our final stop is Pisac where we´ll have the chance to explore more Inca terraces and a well-preserved ancient cemetery, giving us a deeper insight into Inca burial practices.

We will begin our tour early in the morning with hotel pickup from 6:00 – 6:50 AM. Our first destination is Chinchero, a small town that holds great historical significance. It is known for its colonial church and the archaeological site where we can explore ancient Inca ruins.
The site gives a unique look into Inca culture, and the colonial church adds to its rich history. We will learn about the area’s history and Chinchero’s important role in the Inca Empire.
After exploring Chinchero, we will drive to terraces of Moray, which is famous for its circular agricultural terraces. The Incas used these terraces to experiment with growing crops at different altitudes. The terraces are well-preserved and present a great opportunity for stunning photographs.
Here, we will learn about Inca farming methods and how they used these terraces for agricultural experimentation. The views from this site are amazing, and we will have time to explore and learn about their advanced farming techniques.
Next, we will head to Maras to visit the Salineras de Maras. These salt mines have operated since Inca times, and local families still use the salt ponds today. The Salineras de Maras are made up of small pools filled with saltwater. The water evaporates, leaving behind salt, which was essential to the Inca Empire.

The buffet includes a wide range of dishes, giving you the chance to experience the diverse flavors of the region. After lunch, we will have time to relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere of Urubamba before continuing our journey.
In the afternoon, we will visit Ollantaytambo, one of the Sacred Valley’s top sites. This inca site served as both a religious site and military stronghold during the Inca Empire. We will explore the fortress, walking through the ruins and learning about its strategic importance. From here we can admire the views of the surrounding valley, and we will take time to appreciate the beauty of the area.
After Ollantaytambo, we will head to Pisac, another key archaeological site in the Sacred Valley. Pisac is famous for its well-preserved Inca terraces, which the Incas used for farming. The site also contains a fascinating ancient Inca cemetery, where we will learn about Inca burial practices.
