Booking Policies and General Terms and Conditions

CORPORATION MACHUPICCHU ECOLOGICAL TOURS S.R.L (Machupicchu Eco Tours) appreciates your preference and hopes you enjoy your experience in Peru to the fullest. Please read the following policies carefully, as they constitute the contract between you (the customer) and our agency. By making a reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which include our cancellation policy and liability limitations.


  1. The Contract

The contract is between CORPORATION MACHUPICCHU ECOLOGICAL TOURS S.R.L (the company) and the customer (the person traveling or planning to travel). Reservations can be made via phone, website, email, or fax, and by doing so, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these terms. This agreement includes only the services offered by the company and does not apply to international or domestic flights, which are subject to the respective airline policies.


  1. Customer Information

To ensure the proper organization of your trip, the customer must provide the following information at least 30 days before departure:

  • Full name
  • Passport number and copy
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • International flight details (if applicable)
  • Emergency contact phone number

  1. Rates and Payments

All rates are expressed in US dollars (USD) and Peruvian soles (PEN).
A 50% deposit of the total tour cost is required.
Rates are subject to changes based on peak or off-peak season.


  1. Changes and Cancellations

Changes to confirmed bookings incur a penalty of 50% of the total cost.
Cancellations made between 8 and 1 day before departure incur a 100% penalty.
Air or land transportation tickets included in the package are non-refundable.


  1. Itinerary and Modifications

Itineraries are subject to change for operational reasons.
Customer-requested changes should not affect entry to Machupicchu, as tickets are personal and non-transferable.
If your flight itinerary changes, you must notify us at least 7 days in advance.


  1. Agency Responsibility

CORPORATION MACHUPICCHU ECOLOGICAL TOURS S.R.L acts as an intermediary between customers and service providers (transportation, accommodation, etc.). The agency is not responsible for:

  • Accidents, losses, delays, or interruptions outside of our control.
  • Loss of personal belongings during transfers or tours.

  1. Customer Responsibility

The customer must:

  • Carry a valid passport (at least 6 months before expiration).
  • Follow the tour policies and adhere to the guides’ instructions.
  • Assess their physical condition before booking a tour.

  1. Children Policy

Children under 2 years old do not pay for services but do not receive a bed, breakfast, or seat on tours.
Children between 3 and 8 years old receive discounts and are entitled to a bed, breakfast, and seat on tours.
Children must present documents verifying their age.


  1. Transportation and Luggage

Trains to Machupicchu (PeruRail/IncaRail): The allowed luggage is 1 backpack or bag up to 5 kg and 157 cm linear (height + length + width).
Ticket changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability and administrative charges.


  1. Entrance to Machupicchu

Entrance to Machupicchu is regulated by the Ministry of Culture. Tickets are only valid for the purchased date and are non-refundable and non-transferable, except for data updates in exceptional cases.


  1. Right of Admission

The company reserves the right to exclude customers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs to ensure the safety of the group.


  1. Travel Insurance

It is recommended to purchase travel insurance before taking any tour. The company can arrange additional insurance through Assist 365 (not included in standard packages).
