On this incredible journey, we will explore the stunning Sacred Valley and visit the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu aboard the Vistadome Train. We will begin by visiting historical and cultural sites, including Chinchero, Moray, and the Salineras. The Sacred Valley offers breathtaking landscapes that will captivate your senses.

Next, we will visit Ollantaytambo, a charming village where we will explore its ancient ruins. From here, we will board the Vistadome Train at the train station and travel to Aguas Calientes. After reaching Aguas Calientes, we will head to our hotel for an overnight stay. The following morning, we will take a bus to Machu Picchu, the iconic Incan citadel. Our guide will show us around the site and tell us about the famous places, like the Sun Temple and Intihuatana.

Following the tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes and enjoy some free time to relax. In the afternoon, we will board the return train ride to Ollantaytambo. From there, we will take a bus back to Cusco, concluding our unforgettable tour.

Day 1Hotel to Ollantaytambo – Sacred Valley Train Ride to Aguas Calientes

We will begin our day with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30Am. We will travel to Chinchero, a picturesque town known for its archaeological site and colonial temple. 

Here, we will explore the Incan terraces and the Chinchero Archaeological Site. We will then visit Moray, an ancient agricultural laboratory, and the famous Salineras salt mines. The Salineras date back to Inca times, where locals still harvest salt from the ponds.

Next, we will head to Urubamba for a break. You will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before continuing our journey to Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo, we will explore the archaeological site, featuring terraces, temples, and platforms with stunning views of the valley.  After the tour, we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station and board the Vistadome Train to Aguas Calientes.

At 3:00 pm, the Vistadome Train will depart from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. During the train ride, we will enjoy stunning views of the Sacred Valley’s lush landscapes. We will arrive at Aguas Calientes at 5:09 pm and transfer you to your hotel. A guide will meet us at 7:00 pm to discuss the plan for the following day.

Day 2Machu Picchu Visit – Return to Cusco

On the second day, we will have breakfast at the hotel from 5:00 am to 8:00 am. After breakfast, we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, departing at 9:00 am. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes, offering breathtaking views of the valley and mountains.

Once we arrive at Machu Picchu, we will start our guided tour. The guide will lead us through key areas such as the Temple of the Sun, the Inca Bridge, and the Intihuatana stone. The tour will last until 1:00 pm. After the tour, we will have some free time to explore or take pictures of the majestic site.

At 1:15 pm, we will return to Aguas Calientes by bus. Once back, you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch or shopping. At 3:40 pm, we will board the return Vistadome Train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. The train departs at 4:22 pm, and the train ride will offer scenic views of the Andean mountains and valleys.

We will arrive at Ollantaytambo at 6:10 pm, and take the bus to Cusco. The bus ride will take around 2 hours, and we will reach Cusco by 8:30 pm. The tour will conclude with a short visit to the Historic Center of Cusco, where you can admire its architecture and culture.
