We will start in Cusco, traveling to Pisca Cucho, the gateway to the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Our adventure will follow ancient stone paths, surrounded by Andean landscapes. We will hike through valleys, rivers, and cloud forests filled with history and wildlife. Each step will bring us closer to the legendary Lost City.
We will hike from Pisca Cucho to Huayllabamba, passing through scenic farming villages. We will enjoy breathtaking views of the Vilcanota River and explore the first archaeological sites. The second day will challenge us with the climb to Dead Woman’s Pass at 4,215 meters. We will arrive at Pacaymayu and rest among the mountains.
The third day will take us through Pacaymayu, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, and Wiñaywayna, some of the most fascinating archaeological sites. We will hike ancient staircases and pass through tunnels carved in the rock. The cloud forest will reveal breathtaking landscapes, making this section truly unforgettable. At Wiñaywayna, we will prepare for the final stretch of our journey.
On the last day, we will reach Intipunku, the Sun Gate, and witness the first rays of light over Machu Picchu. We will descend to explore the archaeological site, uncovering its mysteries and history. After an unforgettable experience, we will take the train back from Aguas Calientes to Cusco. Hiking the Inca Trail will leave us with lifelong memories of this legendary route.

Early in the morning
We will leave Cusco early in the morning and drive to Pisca Cucho (Km 82) at 2,800 meters sea level. This is the official checkpoint for the Classic Inca Trail. After meeting our porters and guides, we will start our hike to Machu Picchu.
The first section will be relatively easy, following the Vilcanota River through scenic landscapes. We will stop at Patallacta (2,750 meters sea level), a stunning archaeological site with terraces and stone structures. After enjoying lunch, we will continue through a lush valley with corn and potato fields.
As we hike, we may spot giant hummingbirds and other Andean wildlife. After two more hours of hiking, we will reach Huayllabamba (3,000 meters sea level), a small village with fields and mountains. Here, we will set up camp and enjoy a well-earned dinner.
We will wake up early and enjoy a warm breakfast before starting the toughest part of the hike to Machu Picchu. The trail will take us through the Ayapata Valley, a lush Andean microclimate filled with native flora.
As we ascend, the landscape will change dramatically. We will reach Llulluchapampa (3,850 m), a great spot to rest before the steep climb to Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass). This is the highest point of the trek at 4,215 meters sea level, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks.
After celebrating our achievement, we will descend into a beautiful valley leading to Pacaymayu (3,600 meters sea level). This section includes stone steps and offers opportunities to see Andean deer and falcons. We will arrive at our second campsite, where we will have dinner and rest.

We will wake up early and enjoy a warm breakfast. This day will be the longest but also the most rewarding. We will hike through ancient Inca trails surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes. The path will take us through stunning archaeological sites full of history.
We will begin with a steep ascent to Runkurakay Pass (3,950 meters sea level). The climb will be challenging but will reward us with incredible panoramic views. We will explore Runkurakay, an Inca site that may have served as a resting place for messengers. We will continue hiking through a well-preserved stone path leading to Sayacmarca (3,600 meters sea level). This impressive site stands on a rocky cliff, offering spectacular views of the valley.
We will follow the original Inca Trail, passing through lush cloud forests. The trail will take us to Phuyupatamarca (3,650 meters sea level), known as the “City Above the Clouds.” This sacred site features well-preserved terraces and ceremonial fountains. We will take time to explore before continuing our descent.
The trail will lead us down steep stone steps toward Wiñaywayna (2,650 meters sea level). This site is one of the most beautiful on the Inca Trail, featuring impressive terraces and temples. We will set up camp nearby and enjoy our final dinner together.

We will wake up before dawn and hike the final stretch of the Classic Inca Trail. After an hour, we will reach Intipunku (Sun Gate) and see the first sunlight over Machu Picchu.
We will descend to the Lost City of the Incas, where our guide will give a two-hour tour. We will explore its temples, plazas, terraces, and mysterious stone structures. After the tour, we will have free time to take photos or climb Huayna Picchu (optional, limited spaces).
In the afternoon, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where we may relax in the hot springs. Later, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo and continue by bus to Cusco.
