Day 1Arequipa - Chivay

The journey begins early in the morning with a scenic hour drive from Arequipa. Our first stop will be the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to Andean camels such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and huanacos. This area offers a perfect opportunity to observe these majestic animals in their natural environment.

Next, we’ll go to Patapampa, a viewpoint at 4,910 meters (16,109 feet) above sea level. This is the highest point of the trip. You can see amazing views of the active volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya, and Hualca Hualca.

Following the visit to Patapampa, the tour continues toward Chivay, a charming town where lunch will be served. After enjoying a meal of local dishes, take some time to relax at the hot springs of Calera, known for their soothing thermal waters.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner with a folkloric show, offering a cultural experience to remember. Rest at the hotel overnight, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Arequipa

The journey continues to Yanque, a town famous for its pre-Inca terraces and Inca agricultural platforms. We’ll learn about the history of the area and visit Maca town, known for its colonial church and great canyon views.

Then, we’ll head back to Chivay for lunch and drive to Arequipa, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.
