We will start early in the morning, departing from Cusco, and head toward Mollepata. From here, we will begin our hike to the lake. The trek will take approximately 1 to 1:30 hours, depending on the group’s pace. You can expect some steep sections, but the effort will be worth it when we reach the shores of Humantay Lake.

Day 1Humantay Lake Full Day Tour

Join us for an unforgettable full-day adventure to Humantay Lake. We will start early in the morning from Cusco. This tour offers amazing views, cultural insights, and an exciting hike. Get ready for a day of exploration and natural beauty.

4:00 – 5:00 AM: Hotel Pickup

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco’s historic center. Be ready for a scenic journey that takes us through the Andes.

5:00 AM: Depart to Mollepata

We will drive for about two hours to reach Mollepata. The views during this drive will be spectacular. You will see rolling hills and small Andean villages along the way.

7:00 AM: Breakfast in Mollepata

Once we arrive in Mollepata, we will stop for a semi-buffet breakfast. This is the perfect time to fuel up before the hike ahead.

8:00 AM: Continue to the Trailhead

We will drive for another hour to reach the parking lot. Our guide will distribute walking poles to all participants. We will also receive final instructions for the hike.

8:20 AM: Begin the Hike to Humantay Lake

The hike begins from the parking area. It will take approximately 1 to 1:30 hours to reach the lake. The trail offers breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding nature.

10:00 AM: Arrival at Humantay Lake

Once we arrive at the lake, we will have plenty of time to explore. You can take photos and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Relax by the water and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. The views of the turquoise lake against snow-capped peaks are truly unforgettable.

11:00 AM: Begin Descent to the Parking Lot

We will retrace our steps back down to the parking area. The return hike will be quicker and easier, taking about 1 hour.

1:00 PM: Semi-Buffet Lunch in Mollepata

We will stop again in Mollepata for a semi-buffet lunch. Enjoy a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes before we continue our journey back to Cusco.

2:30 PM: Return to Cusco

We will begin our return drive to Cusco, passing through the Sacred Valley’s scenic landscapes. Sit back and relax as we head back to the city.

4:50 PM: Arrival in Cusco

We will return to the historic center of Cusco. Expect to arrive around 4:50 PM, completing our unforgettable full-day tour.
