Early morning
Experience the best of the Peruvian coast with our 2-day, 1-night tour. We will visit Paracas, Huacachina, and the famous Nazca lines. This full-day adventure combines stunning landscapes, rich wildlife, and ancient mysteries. Let’s explore together.
We will begin our journey early in the morning from Lima, heading south along the Peruvian coast. By 09:30 AM, we will reach Paracas, a small coastal town known for its rich marine life and stunning natural beauty. Our first stop will be the Ballestas Islands, a remarkable group of islands located just a short boat ride from the shore.
We will head to the islands, home to a variety of marine animals. Here, we can observe sea lions sunbathing and swimming near the boat. Humboldt penguins, with their black-and-white markings, also inhabit the islands.
The islands are a sanctuary for seabirds, including flamingos, parihuana (Andean flamingos), and other species. The boat ride will also take us to the Candelabra, a giant geoglyph carved into a hill, shrouded in mystery. The boat tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, offering a memorable view of Paracas’ natural beauty.
After the boat tour, we will head to Ica, arriving around 12:00 PM. Ica is famous for its pisco production. We will enjoy lunch (at your own expense) and then visit a local winery. Here, we will sample pisco, wines, macerated fruits, and other traditional drinks while learning about the pisco-making process.
Next, we will go to “La Chocolatería Noelia,” a special chocolate shop, where we can taste delicious handmade treats. We will taste the traditional and delicious products like homemade jams and sandwich cookies.
In the afternoon, we will head to Huacachina, an oasis located just 5 km from Ica. This calm desert oasis, surrounded by tall sand dunes, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. You will have free time to explore the area and capture stunning photos of the tranquil lagoon and surrounding landscape.
Afterward, we will enjoy an exciting dune buggy ride through the vast desert. The dunes here are some of the highest in Peru, and the ride will fill us with excitement as we race over the sand. We will also have the chance to try sandboarding, sliding down the dunes for an adrenaline-filled experience.
At 07:00 PM, we will board a comfortable bus to Nazca, traveling via Cruz del Sur. We will arrive in Nazca around 10:00 PM and transfer to your hotel for a well-deserved rest after this day tour.
After a restful night in Nazca, we will begin the day with a hearty breakfast. We will then head to the Nazca Airport for one of the most exciting parts of the tour: the Nazca Lines flight. These famous geoglyphs, visible only from the sky, have intrigued travelers and researchers for centuries.
As we fly over the desert, we will see 12 of the most famous geoglyphs, including the whale, astronaut, monkey, dog, hummingbird, and more. The ancient Nazca civilization crafted these giant figures, and their true purpose remains unknown. The flight offers a perfect view of these creations, providing one of the most iconic experiences of the tour.
After the flight, we will have some free time for lunch (at your own expense). Later, at 1:00 PM, we will head to the Cruz del Sur terminal for our return trip to Lima. We will travel back to Lima by bus and arrive at the Cruz del Sur terminal on Javier Prado Avenue around 9:30 PM. From there, we will return to your hotel in Miraflores to conclude this unforgettable adventure.
The flight over the Nazca Lines typically lasts between 30 minutes and 35 minutes, offering a bird’s-eye view of the famous geoglyphs.
